Picnic on the Lakeshore for Two

The morning of Victoria and Derick's ceremony seemed like it was going to be a cloudy day but by the time of the ceremony, we were surprised with the most beautiful evening.

Ahlani and I gathered with Victoria, Derick and the sweet members of their family.  Their two little boys, Hunter and Beckett, were there and everyone was dressed so nicely. Matching suspenders and all.

The ceremony was sweet and sincere. All eyes were glistening with tears. They incorporated the practice of burning paper on which they wrote what they want to bring into their future. A nice touch of release as well as manifestation.

Afterward, they had their first dance to one of their favorite songs. Everyone then relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather for awhile as the couple took it all in.

Following this special moment, Victoria, Derick, Ahlani and I drove into the park and found a beautiful little beach area right next to Lake McDonald. They wanted to picnic, so Ahlani set everything up with a blanket, their cake and some champagne. They took a moment to read their vows together, which they had written for themselves and then played in the lake while the sun set with the most golden of light.

And it was a most beautiful Thursday evening, and I am so grateful to have shared such a lovely moment with Victoria and Derrick. Congratulations to you too, we know the best is yet to come!
