Jem and Rob’s Next Level Love
Written by Elisheba Bagrow, Celebrant.
Spring love is in the air and that also means wild spring weather! Spring elopements can always be a little tricky with the weather because you never know what to expect. There could be all four seasons in one day but that makes for beautiful and dynamic photos and a built-in adventure. With hopes of going to the Hungry Horse Reservoir for our ceremony, I went and scouted the weekend before and discovered a lovely little spot where the water was low and you could see all of the magical layers of the frozen lake.
The day of the ceremony we all met at Hungry Horse Dam and caravanned together. So much snow had already melted away, which was lovely. There was a quiet peacefulness to the air.
We were lucky enough to have an incredible view of the Great Northern Mountain, despite the moody clouds in the sky. There wasn’t a single other human in sight. We had the whole place to ourselves. Jem & Rob performed a handfasting ceremony and there was laughter and some tears as Jem and Rob shared their vows.
They decided to step down a little lower to the lake for the first dance and we all just loved watching them be so happy, in love and now married! They then headed to an old bridge with Lindsey for more photos and to play a board game together with Jem’s sister and best friend. they wanted to include their favorite hobby that they share on their big day.
It was so special to be a part of your beautiful day. Congratulations Jem and Rob!
