Janelle and Eric’s Great Northern Montana Adventure Elopement

Jen (Photographer) and Elisheba (Celebrant) met Janelle and Eirc at their beautiful Airbnb on the morning of their elopement. The house had natural flat rocks that led into the main entrance, which piqued Jen’s interest and inspired her for the day and for getting ready photos. They spent the morning helping the couple get ready and preparing for their first planned moments of the day. 

First, instead of doing a first look, Janelle and Eric held hands without seeing each other and read love letters without any family present. They wanted this moment for themselves - to really soak in the excitement together. 

From there, everyone headed into Glacier National Park to Ryan’s Beach for their lovely ceremony. Unfortunately, it was a smokey day due to wildfires in Canada, but even when unexpected things like this happen, the beauty is never fully lost. It was still gloriously beautiful and Janelle and Eric only had eyes for each other as Eric got his first glimpse of the beautiful bride walking down the aisle with her dad. 

Janelle said her vows first. As she finished speaking, Eric very sweetly could not contain his excitement as he kept repeating that there was no way he could follow up after her beautiful heartfelt vows and that he should have gone first because Janelle’s were so good. It was a very sweet moment and contrary to Eric’s beliefs, his vows were still amazing following Janelle’s. 

After celebrating with their families for a bit, the couple departed with Jen to follow her advice and head up Going-to-the-Sun Road to a higher elevation in order to escape the smoke. They were happy that they did because there was almost no one around! They took beautiful portraits at Big Bend and Mount Oberlin. 

By the end of their Park adventures, they were starving! They headed back into Whitefish and met up with their families at The Great Northern bar, which is such a fun place to celebrate! They invited Jen to join and they drank ciders, ate food, and danced the night away! You can see it for yourself in the gallery highlights from their day below! What a truly fun day!
