Eloping in Montana Means:
Reason #1: Best Photos Ever!
No contest. Marrying your best friend in the wild and wonderful scenery of Northwest Montana means incredible photos! Humongous Rocky Mountains, wild rivers, roaring waterfalls, placid lakes, giant trees, serene meadows; no matter what your favorite is- we’ve got it. Holding an outdoor ceremony means weather can be unpredictable (especially in Montana), nothing we can’t overcome with a little flexibility and preparation. Think warm, dry, layers!
Here is the tried and true tool we use to determine the best way to dress for the day: How to Dress
Reason #2: Vacation Itinerary — Get Hitched
You’ve always wanted to visit Montana and Glacier National Park, right? Yes we are talking to you! Your whole vacation becomes part of your wedding & elopement memories. From the moment you get to the airport, you have begun your elopement experience. Or maybe you’re road tripping- all that windshield time to soak up your love. After booking we’ll share with you an extensive elopement guide to help make your experience unforgettable. A lot of couples take their honeymoon, in this beautiful area of the USA, right after as well!
Reason #3: Debt Free
Big weddings are expensive. Why go into debt when you can save your money for other priorities! Want to travel? Buy a house? Invest in dog toys? Wear only Gucci? We say, do it. You can plan a big party for all your friends and family when you get home. According to Forbes, inflation is up 3+% versus previous year, the average cost of a wedding the U.S.A. rose 14% this year and now costs $33,000 on average! Here’s what we offer to start planning your budget.
Reason #4: So, so, so much less stress than planning a big wedding
When you step foot in Montana, you immediately sigh with a breath of relief. The Big Sky takes your stress away! Yes, with an elopement, there’s still a little planning involved, just as there is with any vacation. But when you book an Elope Montana package (our packages) we take care of:
Photographer
Officiant
Flowers
Cake
Bubbly (alcoholic or non!)
Returning the Marriage License
So all that’s left for you is to decide how to:
When do you want to elope?
Get here (fly or drive?)
Get around (rental car or Turo?)
Your ceremony site or venue (We have an AMAZING location guide to
share with you after booking)
Lodging
Reason #5: An opportunity to incorporate family & friends in unique ways
One drawback to escaping the stress of a big fancy wedding is that Mom might have dreamed of a big wedding for you. Here is a personal question only you can answer: What matters most? Is it essential that the most important day of your life be fun, stress free, unique and just about the two of you and your love? Or is it important that your friends and family be included as you marry your best friend? Or is there middle ground?
Let’s face it, Glacier National Park isn’t exactly easy to get to! When couples have close friends or family they want to include in their ceremony, we suggest a few ways to have your family there.
Without having your family & friends there: You can invite them to write a letter, send it to your officiant, and they will incorporate it and read it in your ceremony. Sometimes this is the couples favorite part! If reading letters as part of the ceremony doesn’t appeal to you, you can read them before, as you get ready or after during a quiet moment together. Depending on the ceremony site, you could plan to FaceTime or What’s App before, during or after the ceremony. You can bring along photos. We’ve seen beautiful little lockets tied onto bouquets and framed photos placed on seats or displayed on a tiny altar. How about beautiful announcements to spread the word that you are now happily married? We love Lichen & Pines Letterpress for “We Eloped” announcements!
Family & friends physically there: We define an Elopement as 12 people or under. Invite your VIPs to join you in beautiful Montana!
Reason #6: You Love an Adventure
When you elope in or around Glacier National Park, you clearly are down for an adventure! Established in 1910, Glacier National Park (aka the “The Crown of the Continent” & “The Jewel of North America”) spans over 1,000,00 acres and includes 2 mountain ranges, 130 (named!) lakes, and over 700 miles of trails. It is big and it is beautiful! Strap on your hiking boots and let’s hike to get your perfect Just Eloped photos! Or maybe you want to jump in the lake to commemorate your momentous day! We are here for it and will capture you as you form core memories!
Reason #7: No Rules, No Drama, No Pressure
You can do what you want to do. With no external pressure, no “should” or “acceptable” you are free to keep the focus on your relationship and the huge promises that you’re vowing. You can break out of the big wedding trap and be authentic to yourselves. You can remember your day instead of having it go by in a blur. Most importantly, you can plan your marriage day to reflect your values, passions, personalities and lifestyle!
Whether you decide to elope or have a wedding with all your people, we hope your day will be exactly what you’re envisioning and you have zero regrets! And of course, we wish you the most important outcome: A long, happy, fulfilling marriage to your best friend.
